1. Prepare: Ensure hooves are picked out, clean and dry.
2. Cleanse: Spray the Honest Horse Hoof Cleanser onto the hoof sole and around nail holes on shod horses to eliminate harmful bacteria and prevent common hoof issues such as thrush, cracks and abscesses. Can also be used to treat the above conditions if they have already occured.
3. Hydrate: Apply a small amount of Honest Horse Hoof Balm to the hoof wall and sole using the Plastic-Free Hoof Brush, focusing on areas prone to dryness or cracking.

For best results, use regularly to maintain hoof health and prevent issues.

How often should I use the products?

We recommend use 2-3 times week at a maintenance level and everyday if your horse is currently suffering from hoof issues.

Are they vegan?

No, the Hoof Balm contains Beeswax. However, we do not source our beeswax from outside of the UK (where bee welfare can be seriously compromised) Ours is sustainably sourced from a local farm Wiltshire, UK.

Are they cruelty-free?

Yes. We will not sell anything that has been tested on anything other than our own animals!

Will it help horses who already have thrush cracks or abscesses?

Absolutely yes. Use the Hoof Cleanser daily to reduce the invasive bacteria and restore hoof health. The Hoof Balm is also anti-fungal and anti-bacterial so will help eliminate bad bacteria.

Can the products be used on barefoot horses?

Yes! They are suitable for all hooves :-)

How should I store the products?

Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place.

What is the shelf-life of the products?

Our core ingredients have a lengthy shelf life, but we do recommend using your products within 12 months.

How do I dispose of the packaging once it’s finished?

The aluminium tin and bottle are 100% recyclable.
