You’ve spent hundreds, possibly thousands on your tack and boots, so it’s important to buy good quality products to keep them in the best condition.
This product is a tack room blessing. Rich in natural nutrients, this little gem will bring even the crustiest leather back to life. We use it after our tack has been worn in the rain (after it's dried) and the result is beautifully soft, pliable, protected leather. This leather balm offers a truly exceptional finish for your precious tack.
Did you know that traditional saddle soap contains glycerin – this one ingredient can cause a whole host of issues for your valuable tack.
That’s because glycerin attracts water. ‘Great’ You might think. ‘I want it to be moisturised and supple’. But actually it’s not good for your tack long-term and here’s why…
Avoid using on nubuck and untreated leather. Always patch test before starting.

How often should I use the Leather Balm?
You can use it everyday if you want to! We recommend at least once a week to maintain the moisture balance of your tack.
Is it vegan?
No, we use beeswax in this product. Whether bee farming is considered ethical or not depends on various factors, including how the bees are treated, their welfare, and the broader environmental impacts of beekeeping practices. Please be reassured that we spend more on our beeswax to source it from a local farm in Wiltshire, UK where the bees are managed as part of a wider ecosystem and their welfare is always prioritised.
Is it cruelty-free?
Yes. We will not sell anything that has been tested on anything other than our own animals!
Will it prevent my tack from going mouldy?
Yes, this product avoids glyerin which can cause mouldy tack. We’ve also used beeswax which is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
How should I store the Leather Balm?
Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place.
What is the shelf-life of the Leather Balm?
Our core ingredients have a lengthy shelf life, but we do recommend using your Balm within 12 months.
How long will a tin last?
If you were to clean your saddle, bridle and riding boots once a week, we’d estimate the product will last around 6-8 weeks.
How do I dispose of the packaging once it’s finished?
The aluminium bottle is 100% recyclable, so can go into your recycling bin. Just give it a quick rinse first. The pump can be reused – just come back to our website and purchase a refill when you’re ready!
